Common Neck Injuries

The neck is susceptible to injury. A neck injury can disrupt the nerve signals to the rest of the body, leading to numbness, loss of feeling, and in some cases paralysis. The pain from a neck injury may spread to your shoulders, back and arms and in some cases your movement may also be limited.
Neck injuries include fractures, torn or pulled muscles and ligaments. There may almost no symptoms immediately after an accident, sometimes the symptoms could take weeks to develop. So if you have had an accident at work or been involved in a road accident which you suspect has caused a neck injury, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Making a compensation claim for a neck injury

There are many ways to injury the neck: An accident at work, a road traffic accident, a sports injury, a slip, trip or fall or an accident in a public place. If you have suffered a neck injury and the accident was not your fault then you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation. The neck compensation claim amounts above should serve as a guide only.
