Back injuries

Your back is made up of muscles, bones and other tissues extending from your neck to your pelvis. Most back injuries occur in the lower back as a result of a sudden jolt or from lifting. The spine is supported by large muscles which support the weight of the upper body as well as the spinal column. The lower back vertebrae are connected by ligaments that maintain the position of the spinal column. These bones, muscles and ligaments in the back work together to provide control and strength for nearly all activity. For this reason, the lower back is often be injured at work and when a back injury has been sustained, we are prevented from performing many activities at work.
